With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jani Lynn Johnson of Monroeville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bowers and Karen Adams (Joseph); her son Matthew Johnson; and her stepchildren, Jerry Johnson and Michelle Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth McVittie (Nicholas) and Kristell Dunn (Jason); her stepchildren, Bobby Johnson (Annette), Sarah Anne Johnston (Josh) and Craig McDaniel (Melissa); her siblings, Jennie Jordan (Roy), John Bowers (Karen), Joan Knight (Kurt) and Jerry Bowers (Mindy); her boyfriend Ricky "Mac" McDaniel; her grandchildren, Elyssa Moore (Jullian), Shelbi Hess, Jaiden Johnson, Kailyn Johnson, Jordyn Jewell, Jaycee Kline, Cullen Dunn and Kallee Dunn; her great grandchildren, Kyson Moore and Oaklynn Moore; her aunt Lois Lovinger; and her pets, Princess, Dutchess and Harley. She is also survived by ten step-grandchildren and eleven step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Harper's Community Funeral Home (740 IN-930, New Haven, IN 46774). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
