With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl J. Sorg of Monroeville, Indiana, born in Hoagland, Indiana, who passed away on November 8, 2021 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carl J. Sorg to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen R. Sorg and Florence Sorg Carl (Hake); his siblings, Gertrude Wyss, Raymond and Hubert Sorg; and his son-in-law Stephen Swygart.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Sorg of Monroeville, Indiana; his daughters, Jeanne M. Lehrman (Lynn) of Spencerville, Stephany M. Marquardt (Kelby "Chip") of Waterloo and Michelle M. Swygart of Monroeville, Indiana; his sisters, Ruth Ann Lothamer of Fort Wayne, Joan Smith of Convoy and Dorothy Brown of Frankford, Michigan; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Sorg of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Due to allergies present in Carl's immediate family, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to St. Rose Catholic School, Monroeville EMS or Masses.
