She was predeceased by: her mother Margaret Abernathy Scoggins; and her brothers, Randy Abernathy and Mick Abernathy. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Elmore of Shelby; her children, Jason Angel of Lincolnton, Gloria Angel Williamson (Robb) of Cherryville and Lori Angel Hamrick (Bryan) of Shelby; her siblings, Amy Abernathy of Cherryville, Jeff Scoggins (Bobbie Jo) of Matthews and Tim Abernathy of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, Stephanie Hamrick and Mason Pennell (Allie Desantiago); her great grandchild Ada Pennell; and her close friends, Rhonda Skipper of Matthews and Brenda Estep of Shelby.
