He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Robert Welch and Helen Wittwer; and his brothers, Reginald "Reg" T. and Richard Welch. He is survived by: his brother Central Soya; his wife Brenda Welch of Monroe; his children, Deedra Bercot (Braxton) of Berne, Emily Arteaga (Salvador) of Decatur and Rob Farber (Adellyn McPheron) of Yukon, OK; his brother James "Jim" Welch (MaryLynn) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Ethan, Chloe Bercot, Lillian and Lorenzo Arteaga; his niece Aminda Welch; and his nephews, Jason, Lucas, Tom Welch and Bill Hanaway.
