He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Wietfeldt and Elizabeth Wietfeldt (Patterson); his wife Linda D. Hale; his son Edward Wietfeldt; his grandson Daniel Smith; and his great grandchild Natalie Roll.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan Wietfeldt (Fawn) of Decatur, Indiana, Donald Wietfeldt (Jody) of Decatur, Indiana, David Wietfeldt (Onetta) of Decatur, Indiana, Roger Hale (Jennifer) of Decatur, Indiana, Scott Fox (Janet) of Decatur, Indiana, Laura Shaffer (Jeff) of Decatur, Sandra Thomas (Joe) of Middlebury, Ohio, Kristine Peterson (Tony) of Decatur and Melinda Arnold of Decatur, Indiana; his sister Sharon Scott (Burl) of Ceylon, Indiana; and his pet Babe. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that preferred memorials be made to the family.
