He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Stimmel and Elise Stimmel (Sterrett); and his brother David Stimmel. He is survived by: his wife Connie; his daughter Megan; and his granddaughters, Ryane and Reece Spoonemore.

In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to the Monon Civic Preservation Society.
