He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Day and Virginia Day; and his son Brandon Day. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Shrum (Reese) of Monon; his children, Eric Shrum (Kari), Ryan Day (Jolie), Adam Day (Destiny) and Amber Day; his sister Donna Stephens; his grandchildren, Eleaseh Korman, Joshua Heriford and Sameul Dotson; and his great grandchildren, Kamyrnn, Eryn, Rylan, Josephine, Brandon and Mikey.
He won first place at the Walmart Charity Golf Tournament in Indianapolis.
