She was predeceased by: her parents, Nolan Dale and Margie Sappenfield (Hedges); her husband Robert Melton; and her children, Jim Young and Karen Hirt.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Young, Richard Young and Linda Elmore Young of Monon; her brother Dale Sappenfield; and her grandchildren, Christy, Joe, Michael, Jennifer, Travis, Dustin, Max and Jeremy.
