He was predeceased by: his father Michael Simala; his wife Romaine Gormack; his sisters, Leona Michalewicz, Cecilia Simala and Alice Melyon; and his granddaughters, Brandy and Carole.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis R. Simala (Diane) of Highland, Lenny Simala, Jr., Diane Gilmore of Hammond, Barbara Fayette of Hammond, Nancy Karras (Sam) of Rensselaer, Jackie DeChantal (Mike) of Highland and Cecilia Peterson (Harry) of Whiting. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to Physio Care Hospice.
