It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Shrum of Modoc, Indiana, born in Tracy City, Tennessee, who passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Nunley and Abby Nunley (Coffelt); her husband Harley Shrum; her children, Katherine Leona and Ralph Eugene; and her siblings, Louise Carnes and Francis Nunley.
She is survived by: her children, Glenda Anderson (John) of Signal Mtn, Ronnie Shrum of Modoc, Charlotte Guffey (Jack) of Losantville and Stephen Shrum of Modoc; her grandchildren, Jack Pemberton of Benha, Geneva Pemberton of Atlanta, Georgia, Randy Ring of Richmond, Angela Heinrich of Losantville, Melissa Fields (Arlis) of Modoc, Mary Jo Thornbro of Hagerstown, Christina Kellogg of Blountsville, Joshua Guffey (Kelly) of Modoc, Tory Shrum of Richmond and Morgan Shrum of Richmond; her siblings, Joe "Rudolph" Nunley (Judy) of Modoc, JW, Eddie Mae Vincent of Mooreland, Paul Nunley (Tracy) of Mooreland and Stanley Nunley (Teresa) of Greenfield; and her sister-in-law Judy Nunley of Huntsville.
