She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel McMahan and Goldie McMahan (Phillips); her husband William A. Padgett; her siblings, Irene Pless, Dr. V. C. McMahan and Donald McMahan; and her son-in-law John Rainey.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Rainey of Bedford, Brenda Harrell (James) of Seymour, David Padgett (Rita) of Westport, Kenneth Padgett of Indianapolis and Keith Padgett (Phyllis) of Bedford. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and twenty three great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
