It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Lea Clampitt in Mitchell, Indiana, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sanford and Ruth Virginia Chastain (Barnett); her husband Robert Dean Clampitt; and her sibling Rhea Dawn Hunt. She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Reynolds (Brian Kessler) of Mitchell and Judi Taylor (Jake) of Mitchell; her stepson Jeff Clampitt (Brenda) of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Jamie Mattingly (Elvis), Donnie Spires (Carlie) and Jennifer Grace (Ricky Arp); her great grandchildren, Shaelee, Maken, Ella, Maddy, Cooper, Knox, Conlie and Addison; her great great grandchild Jaxson; and her siblings, Ronnie Chastain and Ruth Ann Kelley.
