He is survived by: his wife Kay Tanksley of Mitchell; his children, Kathleen Louise Gilstrap (Dwight) of Paris, Tennessee and Kevin Lee Tanksley (Melissa) of Loogootee; his grandchildren, Shelby McNary (Bailey), Emily Gilstrap, Abby Grace Gilstrap, Zachary Tanksley (Joy) and Bailey Tanksley; and his siblings, John Tanksley, Ruth Sipes, Rowenna Elrod, Roland Tanksley, Russell Tanksley, Rex Tanksley, Ronald Tanksley and Roy Tanksley.
