He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Eugene Mitchell and Doris Mae Quillen (Sipes). He is survived by: his wife Rita Mae Mitchell of Bedford; his children, Debbie Walters (Dewayne) of Bedford, Amy Grubbs of Bedford, Shawn Mitchell of Bedford and Billy Mitchell of Bedford; his stepchildren, J. T. Nunn of Illinois and Rebecca Nunn of Bedford; and his sisters, Connie Cockerham (Stanley) of Medora, Sherri Taylor (Ralph) of Colorado and Frances Runyan of Bedford. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mitchell Community Center.
