She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell Preston Gaines and Christina Bernice Fishel (Turney); her husband James Calvin Gaddis; and her grandson James Michael Gaddis. She is survived by: her children, RuthAnne Beasley of Bedford, Joyce Eva Agan of Mitchell, James Wendell Gaddis (Kathryn) of Mitchell, William "Gene" Eugene Gaddis (Betty) of Bedford and Rebecca Jane Gaddis of Mitchell; her sister Shirley Short of Pinellas Park, Florida; her grandchildren, Jamie Sue Hopper and Jeremy Lee Gaddis; and her daughters, Connie Sue Gaddis-Keen and Mary Ellen Smith. She is also survived by several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Chastain Funeral Home (705 W Warren St, Mitchell, IN 47446). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center (705 W Warren St, Mitchell, IN 47446). A burial was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at the Mitchell Cemetery (1315 W Brook St, Mitchell, IN 47446).
