He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fortner and Blanche Fortner (Brown); and his brother Denny. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Sipes (Brown); his brother Larry Fortner; his niece Darlene Clark (Fortner); his extended family, Gavin, Lindsay Steele, Laney, Linkyn and Trueman; his wife Jan Fortner (Worley); and his siblings, Marilyn Blackburn (Fortner), John Jr., Jim, Ron and Bob. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
