He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mundy and Blanche Mundy (King); his wife Barbara Jean Goldsberry; and his brother-in-law Herald Tolbert. He is survived by: his children, Sheri Ellen Mundy (Kyle) of Mitchell, Sandra Jeanenne Abel (John) of Shoals and James Stanley Mundy, Jr. (Amy) of Shoals; his sister Jean Tolbert of Williams; his grandsons, Waylon Abel and Derek Abel; his great grandchild Porter Winginer; and his brothers, Kenneth Mundy, Dorrie G. Mundy and Norman Darrell Mundy. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
