He is survived by: his wife Sue Gentry of Mitchell; his son Sanford Gentry (Valerie); his brother Frank Gentry of Waco, Texas; his grandchildren, Sarah Clark (Will), John Hodges (Jessica), Catherine Greenwood (Ben), Emily Gentry, Erin Ellermann (Ethan), Ellen Quinn (Anthony) and Abigail Gentry; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Carson, Kinsley, Michaela, Robert, Philip and Kori; and his son Col. James Curtis "J. C.".
