He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaughn Hilyard and Alys Hilyard (Dickey); his son Scott Hilyard; and his brother Ronald Hilyard. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hilyard of Mitchell; his children, Steve Hilyard (Teresa) of Mitchell, Craig Hilyard of Paoli and Vonda Heverly of Indianapolis; and his grandchildren, Jessica Foster, Matt Hilyard, Kayleigh Hathaway and Mariah Heverly. He is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren.
