It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Mae York of Mitchell, Indiana, born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Dow and Leatha Jane Emberton (McCauley). She is survived by: her husband Carlos York of Mitchell; her children, Barbara Sue York of Mitchell, Linda Kay Brown of Mitchell and Michael Irvin York (Elaine) of Palmyra; her grandchildren, Tygr Northup (Ace), Christopher Michael York (Trinka), Isaac Brown (Sanna) and Sarah Beth; and her siblings, Hazel Bell of Crawfordsville, Ellis Emberton, Dow Emberton, Evie Shoopman, William Emberton and Ruby.
