He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletis Leon and Virginia M. Bennett (Hall); and his brother-in-law Dave Mundy. He is survived by: his wife Connie Sue Bennett (Roll) of Mitchell; his children, Charles Clinton Bennett of St. Augustine, Jessie Trevor Bennett (Heather) of Mitchell and Jackie Leatherman of Paoli; his sisters, Marsha Kay Mundy of Mitchell and Nancy Esther Edwards (Richard) of Lawrenceport; his son Michael Leatherman; and his siblings, Diana Sue Hall and Larry Leon Bennett. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chastain Funeral Home (705 W Warren St, Mitchell, IN 47446). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Lawrenceport Cemetery (1004 Lawrenceport Main, Mitchell, IN 47446).
