He is survived by: his wife Helen Carlile (Isom); his children, Dean Carlile (Suzie) of South Bend, Kathy Riggs (David) of Granger and Don Carlile (Christine) of Mishawaka; his grandchildren, Megan, Adam, Janéé, Grant, Katy, Jody and Joe; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jackson, Lily, Penelope and Amelia; and his sisters, Emmagene Doke and Christie Widener.
