He was predeceased by: his father Robert L. Mitchell. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah E. Burns (Kurt) and Emily J. Kreutner (Adam); his grandchildren, Kai Kreutner, Jordan Burns and Riordan Burns (Bianca); and his siblings, Debra Gustafson (Pete), Mary Wilkinson, John "Jay" Mitchell, Jim Fairchild, Dave Fairchild (Lori) and Steve Fairchild (Micky). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
