She was predeceased by: her parents, Orland F. Montgomery and Elizabeth May Montgomery (Haack); her husband James H. West; and her sister Marsha Franks of Moscow. She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle L. West and Lori B. Shires (Robert); her grandchildren, Dale Baker (Debra), Kaleena A. Bergman (Roy), Jeremy Watson (Jennifer) and Matthew Nilsen (Bailey); and her great grandchildren, Kody Baker, Vayda Cervi and Janey Nilsen.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Root Funeral Home (312 E 7th St, Michigan City, IN 46360). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
