Dave Heckman wrote a sympathy message

“Oh the memories I have of the many motorcycle adventures that I shared while guiding Frank through many of my favorite backroads throughout California. I met him on a road trip in Mexico with a tour group in 1998 and later on he came to California where we begin visiting Yosemite NP, Death Valley in the heat of the summer and the Big Sur Highway up the coast to Monterey and then San Francisco. We traveled a road into Mono Hot Springs that he said was the scariest road in America. Good memories.”
