He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnel Schieber and Frances Schieber; his wife Mary June Schieber (Wendleboe); his siblings, Bill, Gary Schieber and Nancy (Ellingson); his son David A. Schieber; his grandson Gary Schieber; and his great grandchild Gavin Fricke.

He is survived by: his brother Alan Schieber; and his children, Merrie Hatton, Mark Herrington, Cindy VanDePutte, Deborah Thompson (Gary) and Edward Schieber (Cheryl). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandsons.
