Benita June Bickel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benita June Bickel of Mishawaka, Indiana, who passed away on March 9, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Taghon and Margaret Taghon (Phelan); her daughter Maria; and her sisters, Josephine Baert, Lauretta Zellmann and Marjorie Plonski.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Bickel of Mishawaka; her daughters, Karen Shorter (Pete), Laura Jacko (Tom) and Leslie Metcalf (David); her grandchildren, Allison Weldy (Jared), Brison Shorter, Olivia Jacko, Hannah Jacko, Mary Grace Jacko, Lexie Galbraith (Eric) and Nolan Metcalf (Katie Joers); and her sisters, Marilyn Maurek and Annie Humphrey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In her memory, donations may be made to Catholic Charities or the Center for Hospice Care.
