With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anneliese Helga Garis of Mishawaka, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 22, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Varbelow and Frida Varbelow; and her husband Theodore "Ted" Garis. She is survived by: her children, Caroline Pennino (Thomas), Charles Maggio (Esther), Michael Maggio (Kim) and Trudy Varbelow; her grandchildren, Steven Skibins, Zachery Maggio, Frank Pennino, Zachary Maggio (Keilly), Christina Maggio, Heather Short, Desiree Varbelow and Randolph Varbelow, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Abriel, Darren, Jayden, Briana, London, Easton, Maximus, Gracie and Anthony; and her brother Siegmund Varbelow (Gerlinde).
