He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Burns and Jean Gooch Burns; his sister Valerie; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Miller and Chuck Schuler.
He is survived by: his children, Madi and Mason Burns; his siblings, Debbie Burns, Donna Pope (David), Paula "Bunny" Schuler and Chris Burns (Kathy); his mother-in-law Phyllis Turner; his brother-in-law Dave Meredith; his nieces and nephews, Andrea, Christopher, Liz (Jamie), TJ, Emily, Adam and Kade; his great-nieces, Heavynn and Naya; and his close friend Jami Thompson.
