He was predeceased by: his father Warren G. Hire; and his brothers, Jon Hire, Stephen Hire and Thomas Hire. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Mae Hire (Angel) of Ligonier; and his siblings, Marsha Coak of Fort Wayne, Marie Dillon of Shipshewana, Quentin Hire of Syracuse, Melanie Epert of Wawaka, Lori Dressler (Kurt) of Kendallville and Angie Bickel (Paul) of New Paris.
