He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Adam Wegiel and Sophia Wegiel (Rosinski); his wife Nancy Schoof; his children, Julie Wozniak of La Porte, Thomas Wegiel of Mill Creek and Stephen Wegiel (Dawn) of La Porte; his grandchildren, Missy Jablonski (Mike) of South Bend, Keith Wegiel (Amy) of La Porte, Brianna Burnett (Garrett) of La Porte, Jonathan Wegiel (Samantha) of La Porte and Kyle Wegiel (Jessica) of Chesterton; his great grandchildren, Cayden, Ahvanna, Madelynn, Laila, Reese, Alyssa, Brynn, Maverick, Calem, Noah, Molly, David, Carlie and Ella Jane; his siblings, Patricia, Rosie, Gene Wegiel, Leonard Wegiel and Theresa Campos; his son-in-law Lanny Wozniak; and his great grandchildren, Bailey and MaKena Jablonski. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
