He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael A. and Madeline Zimmerman Sr. (Stieglitz); his grandchildren, Heather Emel and Benjamin Sharp; his brothers, George and Melvin Zimmerman; his sons-in-law, Mark Emel, R. J. Holloway, David Bess and Ed Polson; his stepdaughter Nancy Tillotson; and his stepson-in-law Greg Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Zimmerman of Milford; his children, Rebecca Hatfield (Duane) of Hutchinson, KS, Janette Holloway of North Webster, Beverly Martin (Robert) of Ladoga, IN, Patricia Emel of Fort Wayne, Victoria Sharp (Danny) of Milford and John Zimmerman (Peggy) of Milford; his stepdaughters, Lana Cole of Goshen, Beth Tillotson (Bruce) of Nappanee and Marla Barnes (Jim) of Stoneville, NC; his siblings, Mary Gerber (Jack) of Paulding, OH, Ray Zimmerman (Diane) of Lehi, UT and Mike Zimmerman Jr. (Carolyn) of Milford; and his sister-in-law Joann Zimmerman of Milford.
