Though Max has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Duncan and Mary Louise Duncan (Boggs); and his sister Alice Battenfield Miller Duncan. He is survived by: his son Dan (Kelly Duncan); his grandchildren, Jay Duncan of West Lafayette and Evelyn Duncan of Milford; his close friend Carolyn Baker; his brother-in-law Arnold Miller; and his nephew Don Battenfield.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center (461 W 900 N, Leesburg, IN 46542). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
