It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Gingerich of Milford, Indiana, born in Lagrange, Indiana, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Schlabach and Lydia Ann Schlabach (Miller); her husband John Gingerich; her grandson Kevin Miller; her great grandchildren, Trent Martin and Emily Kauffman; and her brothers, Alvin and Walter Schlabach.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Helmuth (Jerry), Audrey Miller (Eldon), Jane Hershberger (Art), Merrill Gingerich (Lola) of Milford and Phillip Gingerich (Jane) of Milford; her half-siblings, Katie Kuhns and Clarence Schlabach of Dalton, WI; and her sister-in-law Ida Mae Schlabach. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
