She was predeceased by: her parents, Willy Riedel and Liddy Riedel (Fritz); her husband Paul Mathews; her siblings, Herbert Riedel and Hildagard Riedel; and her close friend Dean Dowty.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Mathews (Sandy) of Milford and Jane Hunsberger (Keith) of Milford; her grandchildren, Steven Mathews (Valerie) of Nappanee, IN, Michelle Baut (Steven) of Milford, IN, Ben Hunsberger (Liz) of New Paris, IN and Kyle Hunsberger (Amber) of Milford, IN; her stepgrandparent D'Angelo Kramer of Grand Cayman; her nieces, Monica Schneider (Jack) of Carmel, IN, Christine Kralovansky of Edwardsburg, MI and LuAnn Rutherford of New Haven, IN; and her nephew Phil Hoth (Barb) of Fort Wayne, IN.. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
