He is survived by: his wife Samantha Fryer; his close friend Sheila Grevenstuk of Milan; his daughters, Leslie Ridner and Erica Bruening; his stepchildren, Tim Grevenstuk (Louann) of Aurora, Brandon Grevenstuk, Jennifer Kinder of Warsaw and Heather Shell of Elkhart; his siblings, Benjamin Fryer, Michael Fryer, Kathryn Murray and Jennifer Smith; and his grandchildren, Alexis Ahaus, Isiaih Thomas and Jayden Ridner.

Memorials may be given in honor of Butch to the VFW hall in Milan.
