He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Mayer and Margaret Mayer (Bleh); and his children-in-law, Mimi Mayer and Mike Pence. He is survived by: his wife Janice Hoberg; his children, Daniel Mayer of Cincinnati, Kevin Mayer (Susan) of Bright, Indiana, Christopher Mayer (Nicole) of Bright, Indiana and Cheryl Pence of Cincinnati, Ohio; his brothers, Edward Mayer (Margie) and David Mayer; his grandchildren, Ryan Pence (Emily), Katherine Pence, Chris Olson (Nick), Tiffany Olson, Aaron Mayer, Leah Mayer and Anna Mayer; and his great grandchildren, Kayden, Karter, Kolton, Chloe and Ellie. He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
Memorials may be given in honor of Roger to the Ripley County Humane Society or the Red Wolf Sanctuary.
