He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wainscott and Freida Wainscott (Thomas); his brothers, Arthur Dean Wainscott and Danny Wainscott; and his siblings-in-law, James and Alice Pickett.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Wainscott (Pickett) of Milan; his daughter Alice Mikayla Wolfer (Scott) of Burlington, Kentucky; and his siblings, Fred Wainscott (Rita) of Shelbyville, Donna Marie Blankship (Dan) of Shelbyville, Connie Chilcot of Shelbyville, Jesse Tutrow (Scott) of Fairview and Susan Webb (James) of Indianapolis.

Memorials may be given in honor of Michael to the Family, Margaret Mary Hospice, or Lighthouse Baptist Church Building Fund.
