She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayetta Lykins (Whitt) and James Lykins; and her brother Douglas James Lykins. She is survived by: her husband Hershel Byrd of Milan; her daughters, Crystal McMillian (Marcus) of Lockport, Mindy McFarland (Jacob) of Milan and Treasa Taylor of Milan; the father of her children John Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio; her siblings-in-law, Lois Sallee (Randy) of Milan and Richard Byrd (Cindy) of Osgood; her niece Mylinda Fine (Tim); her nephew Anthony Lykins; and her grandchildren, Brandon, Chance Jr., Jasmine, Laurinzie, Trevor, Aiden, Marcus Jr., Jonathan, Serenity, Phoenix, Jordan and Crystalin.

Memorials may be given in honor of Jamie to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
