He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Lena; his wife Esther Barnhorst; and his siblings, Rita Williams and James Kunkel.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Bushelman (Paul) of Moores Hill, Tammy Housel (Doug) of Columbus, Indiana, Douglas Kunkel (Suzanne) of Batesville and Steven Kunkel (Vanessa) of Bright, Indiana. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Weigel Funeral Home (151 W George St, Batesville, IN 47006). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Church (3027 Pearl St, Oldenburg, IN 47036).
