It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence Merkel of Milan, Indiana, who passed away on December 15, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Jaehnen and Francis Jaehnen (Sehreibise); her sons, Ronald of Moores Hill, Alton of Moores Hill and Roger Evans of Moores Hill; her stepchildren, Lois Johannigman (Tom) of Millhousen and Gary Merkel (Anita) of Oldenburg; her grandchildren, Jedidiah Evans and Sarah Singer; her great grandchildren, Noah and Elodie Singer; her husbands, Burton Evans and Thomas Merkel; and her son Ricky Jo Evans. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in honor of Florence to the South Sparta Cemetery.
