He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Nannie Smith (Jones); his wife Verna Smith (Swafford); and his siblings, William Smith, Martha Mills (Smith) of Beve Clark, Anderson Smith and Dexter Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Doris Cook (Mark) of Sunman, Darlene Aust (Timothy) of Holland, PA and Arlene Lee (Victor) of Cortlandt Manor, NY; his siblings, Susan, Louisa Crawford (Smith), Annabell, Bernice, Reed, Richard and John; his grandchildren, Dana Burton (Scott), Mitchell, Madeline Lee, Caroline Aust and Jason Cook; his great grandchild Claire Burton; and his pet Stormy.
Flowers may be received at the funeral home or memorials may be given in honor of Elmer to the Donor's Choice.
