He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Schornick and Helen Schornick (Kittle); his brother-in-law Ray Rohlfing; his grandson Chad Meyer; and his great grandchild Katilyn Eaglin.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma Schornick (Dierckman); his children, Gary Schornick (Robin) of Batesville, Dan Schornick (Joan) of Batesville, Robert Schornick of Milan, Diane Harmeyer (Rob) of Batesville, Sharon Meyer (Steve) of Hamburg, Linda Grunkemeyer (Dale) of Batesville, Larry Schornick (Joyce) of Sunman, Allen Schornick of Milan, Kathy Bockstahler of Milan and Donna Stanley of Milan; and his sister Janice Rohlfing of Shelbyville. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; and thirty-one great-grandchildren.
