She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Abner and Myrtle Abner (Gabbard); her husband Tom Bruns; and her brothers, James "Pete" Gabbard, Paul Abner and Archie Abner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tawnya Holtegel (Eric), Neysa Herndon (Tom Ahaus) and Erin Barth (Jason); her grandchildren, Cody (Angela), Kyle, Jerry, Andrew (Natasha), Alexandra (Jobin), Riley, Sydney and Ashley (Lance); her great grandchildren, Milo, Harper, Alana and Chase; and her sisters, Barbara Waller, Lucy Belew and Geraldine Dobbins. She is also survived by 8 children, 21 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
