It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald C. Pappan in Midland, Indiana, born in Holton, Kansas, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles M. Pappan and Goldie I. Pappan (Stewart); and his sisters, Dorothy Simon, Geraldine Hamlin, Theresa Anderson, Sharon McClane and Margaret Ann Pappan.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Pappan of Texas, Lori Pappan Sells of Texas, Tony Filbert (Robyn) of Topeka, Aaron Filbert (Melinda) of Topeka, Josie Filbert of Kentucky, Crystal Nelson (Donnie) of Coleman and Tyler Filbert of Topeka; his sister Charlene Anderson of Hoyt, KS; his mother-in-law Joan Justice of Independence, MO; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Filbert, Cody Ayers (Dan), Christian Bledsoe, Morgan Bledsoe, Chelsea VanDyke (Marshall), Hailee Colerick, Tyrell Redmond (Tiffany), Cameron Redmond, Rachel Wilson, Cassidy Ghere (Dillon), Gracie Filbert, Lauren Wilson, Duane Filbert and Oliver Filbert; and his great grandchildren, Nova Redmond, Noah Franklin, Abigail Vandyke and Holden Vandyke. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces.
