He was predeceased by: his wife Clata Jean; his brother Curtis; and his parents, Elmer and Vera. He is survived by: his son Victor Clinton Dieter Eichhorn; his daughter-in-law Mary Elizabeth Collier; and his brothers, Gregory and Daniel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Pendleton Artist Society, where Victor dedicated many volunteer hours, are greatly appreciated.
