He is survived by: his wife Regina Funkhouser; his children, Jennifer Jarrell and Derek Funkhouser; his stepdaughter Leslie Griffin; his grandchildren, Noah Merritt, Aurora Griffin and Forest Griffin; and his siblings, Richard Funkhouser and Jean Osborne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
