We bid farewell to David Gilbert of Middletown, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 2, 2025 at the age of 90. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilbert and Rita Gilbert (Dowty); his daughter Krista; and his siblings, Ruth, Darrell, Lowell, Lois, Joyce and Jan.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gilbert; his daughters, Lisa and Julie; his grandchildren, Sarah, Sam, Scott, Samantha, Lindsay, Carolyn and John; and his sister Carol. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene (698 N 5th St, Middletown, IN 47356). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Habitat for Humanity, Middletown Food Pantry or the American Cancer Society.
