He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Payne and Rosemary Payne (Briggs); his wife Susan Neff; his children, Jeff Payne (Tricia) of Middlebury, Jon Payne (Sarah) of Middlebury and Jennifer Trybus (Todd) of Germantown, Maryland; and his grandchildren, Ellis, Raegan, Logan, Theo, Jackson and Connor.
