She was predeceased by: her parents, Eid Saeed and Malake Saeed (Zaknoun); her spouse Emtanos "Tony" Zaknoun; and her grandson Joseph Zaknoun. She is survived by: her children, Elham Hawa of Michigan City, Lillian Zaknoun (Youssef) of Michigan City, Rita Mitchell (Patrick) of Plainfield, Indiana, Andraos Zaknoun (Nisrine) of Michigan City, John Zaknoun of Michigan City, Elie Zaknoun of Chicago and Fadi Zaknoun (Maria) of Michigan City, Indiana; and her siblings, Zine Raii, Anisee Simaan, Samir, Anise and Rafeek Saeed. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel (418 Washington St, Michigan City, IN 46360). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church (1725 E Barker Ave, Michigan City, IN 46360).
Contributions may be made to her surviving family that was displaced by the war in Lebanon in her memory c/o Fadi Zaknoun.
